Something I really love is making a list of my whole week, and crossing off each day. I'll write down everything – when I'll wake up, if I'm showering or not, who I'm going to meet with that day, what my general plans are, and even sometimes what I'm going to eat (leftovers for dinner tonight). Understanding the cycle of dopamine release and intermittent reward systems in our brain gives us great insight as to why I'm so into writing down my week's tasks and plans, and crossing them off. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something, even if all I did was lay in bed that day. If I can write down, “sleep in, rest, order delivery," and cross if off a list then it makes me feel productive even if I wasn't.
